Some things are just made for holding on to each other.

The kawakawa leaf is shaped like a heart. It's native to Aotearoa, and for generations it's been known to heal, to protect, to restore. We didn't choose that name by accident.

Kawakawa & Co is swimwear made with that same intention — close to the skin, protective, made with love, before it's ever made with fabric. Every cut, every stitch is made to make you feel like yourself — not smaller, not softer, not covered up. Just yours. Held, not hidden.

But we're building more than pieces. We're building a place. Women showing up for each other — actually, not performatively — is rare. So we're making room for it on purpose: in the sun, in the water, in each other's corner.

That room has a name too — Kawakawa Throw. Come as you are. No pretending required.
